The Global Village Exchange is GVF’s live pilot platform designed to help people request help, offer support, share resources, and connect with trusted community partners. It is currently operating as a controlled pilot while we focus on safety, usability, language access, partnerships, and real community impact.

The pilot is currently open to select founding helpers, volunteers, community members, churches, schools, nonprofits, small businesses, local leaders, and partner organizations. Participation may expand as the platform grows and additional communities are onboarded.

During the pilot phase, requests may include food and grocery support, clothing and essentials, school supplies, tutoring or homework support, volunteer needs, youth and family support, event support, and local resource connections. Higher-risk requests may require additional review before being posted or shared.

A Founding Helper is an early supporter of The Global Village Exchange pilot who is willing to offer time, resources, referrals, feedback, mentorship, or practical support as the platform grows. Founding Helpers help us build the first village with care, accountability, and real community spirit.

Yes. GVF welcomes trusted community partners who are interested in sharing resources, posting volunteer opportunities, supporting families, sponsoring supplies, hosting programs, or helping us strengthen local community support. Partner participation may require a brief review and approval process.

Many GVF programs and pilot activities are designed to be free or low-cost whenever possible. Some special events, workshops, background checks, materials, or partner-led activities may have costs, but any fees will be shared clearly in advance.

No. The Global Village Exchange is not a replacement for emergency services, crisis support, medical care, legal services, or law enforcement. If someone is in immediate danger or experiencing an emergency, they should contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service directly.

GVF uses community guidelines, admin review, request moderation, verification steps, reporting tools, and partner-based participation to help maintain a safer environment. Some requests, helpers, and partner activities may require additional review before being approved.

Background checks may be required for certain roles, especially those involving youth, vulnerable populations, in-person support, leadership roles, or sensitive volunteer activities. Not every participant will need the same level of screening, but safety and trust remain a priority.

Yes. Language access is an important part of the pilot. GVF is working toward a multilingual experience so more people can understand requests, offer support, and connect with their local community. Some translations may be auto-translated for convenience and reviewed when needed.
